Sedition in liberal democracies is problematic. Free speech is sacrosanct. The very subjective nature of these laws makes them untenable in the modern world. If one complains that Harmon is an idiot then that person can be taken to court on grounds of sedition since it can be interpreted as being averse to a public minister and instigating animus.
