Burnham's PNC regime knew that Nascimento and his relative Peter D'Aguiar served CIA interests 1962-1964. After D'Aguiar's United Force broke away from the PNC-UF Coalition in 1968, Burnham retained the services of Nascimento and made him PNC Minister of Information. There was no contradiction because Burnham's PNC had also benefited from American intervention via the CIA 1962-1964. All that is well documented.

Burnham turned his back to the Americans and the CIA since the 1970s. Why would one ask in 2020 if Nascimento "still working for the CIA"?
