The issue then is whether Ms. Hughes should have been making governmental decisions regarding a company she was involved in. If she was then there would a case for conflict of interest. However, when this story first surfaced Ms. Hughes indicated that she had relinquished management of the company to others. Why is Guyana Times flogging a dead horse?

That does not excuse her from taking responsibility for her actions. Why do you think that it is a biased report? Guyana Times has the right to expose criminal activities whenever there is one to be investigated.
