Afros have a very open notion of who is "black". Even some Indos run around calling themselves "black" and are accepted as such. You might be shocked to hear what your North American grand kids call themselves.

Those North American Indian kidss you refer to above. Are they typically striving for the finer things in life or are they just wasting their lives away? The ones I am aware of don't seem too interested in school or work, etc. Is that your observation also?
