I do not agree with his governance. But he was a man of steel, who stuck to his guns, who lived what he believed in, who practiced what he preached.  And there is something to be said for that.  No one can take that away from him.  He has made his mark in the history books. For good or for bad.

The world was hunting Hitler whereas Fidel is respected the world over even in the USA.

No doubt that there are Commie fools the world over who would have respect for even the most brutal dictators just because they poked their finger at the USA.
