As we are all seeing now with the coalition govt, Guyana is suffering from brain drain and lack of talent.  An issue which affects both the PPP and PNC govt.  And we have to understand that not everyone who shows up at govt door to ask for a favor will get it.  Many who didn't get favors accused the govt of favoritism.   A lot of those guys in the AFC are the ones who didn't get their way with the PPP govt.  Now they can't their way with the PNC govt and they are looking to form a new party called RISE.

Again Bibi, thanks for no negativism.

This discussion is about Jagdeo and not the present government, but  I agree with you that the present government is no better for Indians in Guyana. I also suspect in time Granger might treat the AFC, as Burnham treated the UF.

Our contact in the last government were Gossai and Ramsammy,  who chaired  the National Suicide Prevention Committee.

We had enough resources from Scotia bank, Caribbean Airlines, Air Canada, Telus Canada and individual support.  Our work was done through the Canadian High Commissioner, who also provided some support  and who visited us often. We never asked for [or got] any resources  from the PPP government [or the present government]. All we needed was their logistic support for things to run smoothly.

Even though we did not get any logistics support from local government officials in the past, they made demands for our resources. When it was not provided, they told schools and medical centres not to deal with us, or else.

As committee members who provided  our time and personal resources [to travel and live] in  providing  a service with no government support, this was difficult  to understand.

In other countries where we implemented programs and built projects, the people and government officials were all over us to help, but PPP officials were different.

Since you have known Jagdeo all your life, maybe you can shed some light on the reason. Beceuse he was the leader of these officials,  who took directions from him.
