No. In bygone years the US intervened for the wrong reasons, ie to remove a democratically elected PPP government simply because Cheddi Jagan's ideology was not Uncle Sam's ideology.
This time the US is intervening for the right reason, to remove a PNC-dominated government that lost in elections certified as free, fair and credible by reputable international observers, but which doggedly insists on retaining power.
The US wants the democratically elected PPP/C to form the next government. Not one single action of the 1992-2015 PPP/C government was "communistic" in any way, shape or form. Uncle Sam knows that.
That's the dialectical difference which Jagan himself would have pointed out. US helped him to get power in 1992.
