If you do not pay your taxes they will sell your property and they are under no obligation to seek fair market value. My wife's negligent  sister had one of her homes sold for non payment of a few thousand dollars in taxes. They sold it for less than a quarter its value. You learn the hard way for not taking care of your business.

Wondering if the laws we have here are applicable to Guyana.

I was told by an Attorney, individuals can pay the taxes on properties owned by delinquent tax payers, the money are recouped when the property is sold with interest or get to purchase the property.

Don't know anything about that. I am not buying anything any more. I am actually selling a few or rather my wife is since I have very little on my own I could sell. I have three kids that I want to have a roof over their heads when I am gone.

I was wondering!!!!!
