I think the global warming is real and everywhere people will be uneasy with fossil fuel. China is already taking steps, India is well on its way and if the Dems win in 2020, get ready for a  massive drive to green tech. I think they will win so the reality is the all electric car society or water fueled cars are not but 10 years away. It is a pipe dream oil will remain the primary fuel to our economic engine.

Fossil fuel will be around for awhile, Guyana stands to benefit , hopefully the government planners use the revenue to create other industries. Guyana have lots of land focus should be on Agriculture, especially cash crops.

By the time Guyana is ready to reap any benefits from oil, fossil fuels might be a distant memory.

Bhai, that country is just about three quarter million , don't think it will be challenging to create a good life for the people. Lots of money wasted on the white elephants, pilfering, imagine if that money was put to good use, many people will have been out of poverty.

As I stated on another thread, we are a third world nation with no history of our politicians ever working for the interest of the state as a whole. Also, only a few states have benefited from its oil. The majority were ripped apart by ethnic fighting and the rest simply left to rot by their greedy politicians. We would be truly lucky if we ever see any of the profits. We do not have a history for making anything work....all 10 of the state controlled industries are mismanaged.
