I would like GR to expand a bit more on this. What in Dr. Ifill's actions confirm that she stuck doggedly to principles. Anyone can proclaim that they are good and decent but it is through their actions that such statements are truly solidified or nullified. How is 99% of Afro Guyanese voting for the mostly PNC Coalition sticking more to principles than some 60% Indo Guyanese voting for the PPP in the 2015 elections? I like GR but I find many holes in his arguments, one being whichever Indian the Coalition picks for PM will be seen by the Indo Guyanese community as a neemak haram and whichever Afro Guyanese the PPP picks will be seen by the Afro Guyanese community as a house slave. Run the elections with who you are an what you have. Don't pick someone to steal votes. That is why I am not a fan of after elections coalitions. Guyanese are good baiters and switchers and will promise everything although they never have any intention of giving anything.

Another compelling reason is the very nature of the Coalition’s support base. It is not as blind as that of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP). To highlight the difference in traditional party supporters, I point to the University of Guyana (UG) and Dr Mellissa Ifill. She openly stated that she voted for the coalition in 2015 but has stuck doggedly to her principles. In stark contrast, in the PPP world, being pro-PPP generally trumps principles. She exemplifies the many in the Afro-Guyanese community who go against the grain and stick to principle, a long tradition perhaps most exemplified by the WPA during the time of Dr Walter Rodney. Something that continues to be woefully lacking in the Indo-Guyanese community and a factor why the PPP ought not to rule at this time.

Wasn’t Gerhard one of the creators of the PNC monster and then he ran away to Germany and left the Guyanese people to suffer?

He is all over the place with his analysis since he was a member of AFC... and he can’t get it right.
