Nearly 3 years ago, despite the then AFC Leader Khemraj Ramjattan asserting that the AFC would become "dead meat" if it allied itself to another political party, the AFC went ahead and coalesced with the PNC-dominated APNU.

Ramjattan did get one thing right.

I think they are dead meat too. I have no allegiance to any political party.
