First of all, the killings began when Fineman escaped prison and stopped after he was killed. Sounds to me that those 200-400 killed are more his doing than the government. Secondly, the government could not use conventional crime fighting methods because this group of criminals seemed invincible to the police. I remember reading that Eve Leary Headquarters had to hire security guards to protect the police there. There were other reports that these criminals would tell the police ahead of time to not intervene were they would be attacking next because the police would end up being killed and some were indeed killed as in the Mon Repos case if I remember clearly. Thirdly, Moore has shifted his mouth to were the soup is now dripping. No surprise as many people have the tendency to switch sides mainly for these kinds of benefits. The government was right during those very evil and difficult days to employ any method necessary to rid Guyana of those escaped prisoners and hallelujah, the moment Fineman was killed and given his stately funeral/burial by the PNC, things got back to normal.

I disagree "with any method",any government faced with such scourge should use method's that are legal.

The US is currently using unconventional methods to combat the threat of terrorism. Do you disagree with their method?
