This is a good start. In addition, they should be given land to till and produce food for the country since Guyana is still an agriculturally-based country.

In addition, oil money should be used to train them, and their kids, to learn specific skills that can help them become independent entrepreneurs....rather than relying on the government or political party for support.

The government has to think long term and plan ahead.
