2018 Milo schools’ Under-18 football tournament Chase Academic Foundation, Annandale Secondary, Business School win in latest round

Up to press time on Monday, Annandale Secondary, spearheaded by a helmet trick from Omari Glasgow, surged to a 10-1 victory over Caramel Secondary. Carmel have now conceded 22 goals in two matches after being on the receiving end of a 12-0 drubbing from defending champions Chase in the first round.
On Monday, following Annandale’s victory, Chase were also in the winners’ row in the subsequent match after defeating Friendship Secondary 6-1. Chase, the three-time defending champions, were challenged with some spirited performances from the losers during periods of the game but they ultimately proved to be the better side.
National center-half, Jeremy Garrett who is the captain of the team, curled a free-kick into the back of Friendship’s net from about 19 yards, for the opening goal in the 11th minute. Ronaldo Rodriquez led the scoring for Chase with a double in the 29th and 30th while Stephan Reynolds, Rondel Peters and Keane Lawrence all netted once.
In the third and final game on Monday, Business School defeated South Ruimveldt 2-0. The victory came compliments of Akeem Lewis’ sixth minute strike and an own goal in the 61st minute.
Last Sunday’s triple-header, which had to be postponed due to the weekend’s inclement weather, will kick off this afternoon at the Ministry of Education ground from 16:00hrs, following Monday’s matches.
