Two Berbice men are latest COVID-19 casualties

Two Berbice men, both unvaccinated, are Guyana’s latest COVID-19 fatalities.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health confirmed the deaths, which have taken the country’s death toll from the virus to 1,016.

The deceased were a 45-year-old, who died on Thursday, and an 84-year-old man, who died on Friday.

Meanwhile, the updated COVID-19 dashboard showed 51 new cases after 1,009 more tests were done. The dashboard also showed 803 active cases, 14 of which are in the country’s COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit.
