Pakistani Virat Kohli fan in custody after hoisting India flag

A Pakistani fan of Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli is in custody after being arrested for hoisting India's flag at his home as a tribute to him.

Umar Draz, from Okara in Punjab province, was held under Pakistan's maintenance of public order act, police said, which can carry jail terms of up to 10 years.

Mr Draz said he did not know he had committed a crime.

The Indian team is currently playing a series against Australia.

Police told media that they had received complaints about the Indian flag on Monday and arrested Mr Draz the next day.

Mr Draz, who works as a tailor, said he is "a big fan of Virat Kohli".

"I support the Indian team because of Kohli. Hoisting of Indian flag on the rooftop of house only shows my love for the Indian
