Tonight another two games are set for the Mackenzie Sports Club ground when the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) / Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) Senior League football championship continues as Blueberry Hill take on Hi Stars in one game at 19.00hrs and the other between Silver Shattas and Winners Connection.
When the tournament sponsored by telecommunication giants Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GTT) began last Friday there were wins by Winners Connection and Amelia’s Ward Panthers.
The Winners Connection opened their campaign with a 1-0 win over Hi Stars behind a lone strike from forward Marmalaque Davidson, which came one minute before the first half ended. That 44th minute strike would be the decider of the game when the final whistle was blown.
The other game last Friday was also a 1-0 result as the only goal of the game was sent in by John LaFleur who netted in the 76th minute as Amelia’s Ward Panthers beat Blueberry Hill 1-0.
