(Reuters) - Fifteen people were shot, one fatally, at a packed nightclub in Cincinnati, Ohio, early on Sunday, and police said they believed at least two shooters may have been involved.

The motive was still unclear, but Cincinnati Assistant Police Chief Paul Neudigate said on Twitter that "there are no indications this incident is terrorism related."

The shooting took place around 1 a.m. when hundreds of people were reported to be at the Cameo Nightlife club, which the Cincinnati Police Department said has had "multiple problems" in the past.

Terrorism, by definition, is trying to effect political change by spreading terror and mayhem on the general innocent and unarmed public.  Timothy Mc Veign and the Boston bombers are examples of such!

If this is true, how can the authorities know already that this does not appear to be terrorism? They were still trying to clean up the blood when they made that assessment.

Do you know the reason for they're actions? So no terror was involved here because the gunmen were not Muslim and these people who were killed were not innocent and they were armed?

Actually, I don't know of this event.  The authorities may have more info than they are disclosing, thus their assessment.  I agree, they should wait and give one assessment and not piece-meal!

Very simple. Terrorism is if the act is definitely committed by a Muslim. Mostly, it is not terrorism if the act is committed by a non-Muslim. It is necessary to first cross the threshold of if the perpetrator is a Muslim or not before you can move to what their action is.

Stop talking schupitness.  But when them bannas chant allah-o-akbar when dem shoot-up, it leads one to such conclusions.

I was asking about this particular incident.

You stated above that you don't know of this event. That is expected since the news today did not handle this shooting with the same frenzy they usually do the ones they suspect are by Muslims. I don't expect any memorials like we saw in the other cases either.

Unless we later determine that the perpetrator was indeed a Muslim.

The authorities saw the features of the attacker.

In Western countries, whenever an attack is done by a Muslim ,it is announced through out the media, because there are copy cats to follow or there will be multiple attacks. Look at London today again there was another vehicle ran over a crowd of people, this is just days after the attack on the bridge to parliament.

True.

Likewise there are many drive by shootings in Miami everyday but it does not get any fanfare.
