Thomas Masters win Easter Classic football tourney

Thomas United Masters won the Easter Classic Masters 3-day Masters football tournament organised by the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) and Brasimex Football Club and played over last weekend at the Tucville ground.

In the final played Monday last, Thomas behind a double from Floyd Cadogan, clinched a 2-0 victory and the title.

In semifinal play Wales overcame Beacons 4-2. Jermaine De Harte, Gerald Washington with one apiece and Royston McLean with a double accounted for Wales goals. Andre Trotz and Wayne Forde replied for Beacons. Thomas United cruised past Plaisance as Floyd Cadogan hit home another double.

Eight teams took part in the event which was sponsored by main sponsor Hamson’s General Store of 116 Regent Street, Bourda, Guyana Beverage Company and Star Party Rentals.
