Government considering a Jail tax to raise funds to build a new facility.

Billy, why did the PPP not build a maximum security facility during their 23years in power?

Good question!  I called for the government to build a zoo in Berbice but never thought of a maximum security prison. Perhaps the time has arrived for us all to agree on building a modern prison to house those who ought to be kept out of society.

KP and Bibi, I sincerely hope someone don't wish for you to be blind someday.

I have a friend in Toronto who used to imitate the limping walk of man name Latiff, now he has a stroke and walk  exactly like Latiff.

Close one eye or both for an hour and you will not wish any medical deformation on others.

Shame on you, it shows your immaturity.

Jamal Joseph is in the United States.

Is this one of your lies?

Another barefaced lie from Bhagdad Bib. The man was arrested in GT last night.

So then you need to inform the authorities.  The seven names they released of those re-captured does not include Jamal Joseph.

From one wicked lie to another. Don't you have any bloody shame? The authorities announced that he was arrested last night, stupid woman, and he is included in the seven they arrested.

https://guyanachronicle.com/20...-escapees-recaptured

Later that evening, Assistance Commissioner of Police (ag) David Ramnarine confirmed that seven (of the thirteen that escaped on Monday had been recaptured. Those persons are: Odel Roberts, Jamal Forde, Rayon Jones, Winston Long, Teshawn McKenzie, Jason Howard and Jamal Joseph.

Woman you are such a crafty seasoned liar. Calling you the name of a certain female specie would be an insult to that breed.

There is a country of 750,000 people living in fear with criminals running free and the minister in charge under his watch, had two fires and two prisoners escapes, and you are concern how he looks, well qualifications did not got him the job and looks did not. Learn to pick your battles and stick to the issue at hand. You already relentlessly insulted Baseman, so don't pick on me I am not your type.

K

Come on kp Tola spoke out against posters making idiotic remarks about someone's deformity and on the topic of Baseman, well that's another subject. If you noticed, baseman fkd up a thread where chief started as a good intention thread with his vomit and he apparently has some issues with Tola doing charity work so I would go after the creep for that too.

Who should Granger put to replace him?

Another one of your PNC operatives?

I really don't care if PNC or PPP...once they competent, it's ok by me

Great. Give us a few names from the PPP.

I don't have names because I don't live in Guyana, so it would be foolish of me to suggest someone. My opinion is based on the fact that if something seems not to be working, then some kind of shakeup needs to be made...and generally you start at the person in charge

i think ramjattan was handed a basket to fetch water as minister of public security aka home affairs. maybe the pnc part of the coalition deliberately put him in that position knowing from day 1 that he was bound to fail. maybe. i think it would be a good thing if granger shifts ramjattan from public security portfolio to citizenship. ramjattan might perform better in that passport ministry. and winston felix might bring some fighting spirit as the new minister of public security. after all he was a former commissioner of police who knows the crime fighting system. ramjattan must get some sense and bow out gracefully to save himself from permanent disgrace. he is a brilliant man in a mismatched slot for two years running.

Then next it would be Granger who is ultimately responsible; next it would be the cabinet. So where does it end. I don't think Granger will allow his resignation at this point. Ramjattan will persevere.

Mitwah

I think we know the Pres would not resign, nor is there any need for him to resign...it's common sense

Any good leader who promised that things would be different under him versus the previous administration should be able to make tough choices instead of keeping the same incompetents in charge

You're no different from some PPP supporters, once your party in charge, who cares if everything falls apart

Ramjattan can do nothing to stop crime. What sort of crime fighting experience does he have?  If these criminals should start a campaign of violence like what we experienced in 2001-2002 what would he do stop it?  Does he have the testicular fortitude like Gajraj to take the bull by its horn and stop the mayhem?  Ramjaat was the man criticizing and lambasting Gajraj to driving deathly blows to criminals who were killing the innocent with impunity. Today this bastard is facing a reality that Gajraj faced and he is acting like a P...y .  If the situation worsens let's see how competent he is to deal with it. All the fat talk while in opposition about stopping crime and curbing corruption are all just talk.  Let's see what this punk can do.
