Is it that you guys are finally recognising it as a symptom of the overwhelming mediocrity and mal-administration displayed yet again in this failure?

Turning a problem at a power company into a political issue is a sign of desperation. Govt don't run power companies, they govern. It is up to the experts at the power company to resolve those issues. Power stations have issues all over the world periodically, why try to use this incident to further your 2 seat party's agenda?

Installing equipment, small, medium or large, would have challenges without affiliation to Government.

So,

1)exactly to whom is the management and board of directors of GPL answerable?

2)how long has this incompetence existed?

Relevance of your questions to my statement are .. ??

Govern does not mean that Jagdeo is out on a power line in the middle of the night ensuring the supply of electrical continuity. Problems happen in the electrical sector all the time as a part of industry, equipment fails for a variety of reasons. The AFC dogs look to capitalize on the periodic failure of equipment is unconscionable.

No clown, but management an accountability is a Govt's responsibility. CEOs and their management teams are held accountable for actions of anyone in a Corp. Though they may not be directly responsible, if proven that weak management, weak proceses, laxed atitudes to good governance, etc, then the CEO and his team would pay the price.

How is management responsible for a manufacturer's defect? hahahahha Did they not hire the right ground crew to maintain the electrical system. Tell us exactly how management is to blame for this specific malfunction and how in your infinite wisdom it could have been avoided? hahahhahaha.

Hydro, hydro.

fip hydro-cede, hydro-cede

bet my last dollar, fip can't finish that road, first segment cut our - 50 million for someone else, then the bridges will cut out then finally the road will cut out and Guyana loses 300 million that was already paid.

The question is who the kantractor has to pay 100 million to build house, big, big house with italian tiles. 29 tonnes of italian tiles.

Hmmmm!
