I have no disagreement with what you said.

PPP should have jailed all of them including Granger for his alleged role in rigging. The PNC snake turned around and bit them.

Old people were 100,000 correct about the PNC. They will eat in your plate and bore a big hole in it. History is repeating itself.

I will not be one bit surprised if that scumbag Rumjattan has his hands in this.

One by one Indians were eased out of the PNC  public service. The PNC already began to control the Election commission and the Judiciary. The police Force and the Army were already theirs'.  This is indeed the recipe for Rigging the next election.

Since Burnham days the Public Service was packed with Afros,the question is did the PPP tried to balance the make up,my view is employment in public service should reflect the ethnicity in the demographics,the same should be applied to the GPF.

Let us revise. No one in Guyana can tell you who is mixed and who is black. You think Trotman is black but he says that he is mixed. Granger clearly is mixed.

So do this. Take the 29% African and add the 20% mixed.  Then you will see more than Indians but yet Indians occupied over 90% of top slots under PPP rule. When asked why Roger Luncheon couldn't say. Note that he did NOT deny this almost complete monopoly of Indo domination.

Be proud of APNU/AFC.  They display the SAME behavior that the PPP did, except now you don't benefit.

Don't suggest that Burnham packed the public service with Afros. There were a considerable number of Indo public servants including myself, Mitwah,Nehru and some others in this forum.

When Yuji's ancestors arrived and became drunk and disorderly its black police men who arrested them. They refused to send their kids to school because they didn't want their daughters to be taught by black men, who dominated the teaching profession at the time.

So let them scream and wail as if the civil service in Guyana has ever been anything other than Afro dominated at its lowest levels.

And you are correct. The Ministry of Finance was packed with Indians during the Burnham era.

Historically, The Indians had their wives at home, to do domestic chores and take care of the children, this went on as young girls were married then became mothers and house wives. The Indian Man work and give the money to the wife , she did the bookkeeping, pay the bills, buy the groceries. Agreed, many of the nurses and teachers were Black women, also the government offices and sugar estate offices. Not that the Indian women were not educated, but getting jobs at a time when the Black man dominated the managerial positions,was difficult  the trend was paying bribes and or surrender to sexual favors. I personally know of a few black man that lived that life. Getting into the army or the police force was not that easy, and then again the Indian men had PRIDE, those jobs were considered low, requirement was "Brutal Force and Ignorance" they wanted to be Generals and not Privates.The door for Indians both Men and Women were opened wide when the PPP gained office, today that door is slowly closing.Don't forget, in the early days, to get certain jobs such as teaching, you had to be a CHRISTIAN, the schools were Scotts or Anglican schools, also to be a nurse you had to be a Christian because of the Red Cross and the Salvation Army. A small number of Hindus and Muslims converted just to get ahead, so Indians always had an uphill battle.

I know of a woman who used to weed at the estate and who was raped by a black manager. She ended up giving birth and even though it was her fault, her husband blamed her. Even the siblings took sides. Some, mostly the girls accepted the baby and the boys resented her. My father hated the Canadian Mission Church for that "convert if you wanted a job policy". Unfortunately the poor had no choice.
