RHEDC is proud to inform the community about the success of our outreach partnerships and preliminary results of our Voting Engagement program.

RHEDC secured 12,000 Voter Registration Forms from the NYC Board of Election in December 2015.

These forms were systematically distributed throughout our community; Mandirs, Masjids, Churches, Libraries, Businesses along Liberty and 101st Avenues, through partnering with Community Based Organizations and street distribution with YABC Interns from John Adams High School. Special thanks to the Senior Citizen attendees at the weekly Information Sessions at the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir - Wednesday 11 AM - 2 PM.
RHEDC must also commend its media partners - Jas Persaud - Sound of Music, Dave Narain/Balwant Misir Persaud - Dave West Indian Show and Lake Persaud - Indian Melody Time; every Sunday on WGBB 1240am from 10:00 AM thru 3:00 PM.

As a result of this distribution, partnership and voter registration exercises this is our prelimary Election Results (Source:- NY Times Link:- http://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/new-york )

This is a historic increase in voting in our communities of interest.
We are imploring all voters to come out again on June 28th for our congressional elections.

With this pattern of voter participation our communities will benefit significantly.

============================================

From Vishnu Mahadeo - Just in Richmond Hill and South Ozone Park, there were 9134 votes in the recent Presidential Primary.

 What is so significant?

 This is more than enough to elect a congressman, NYS Senator, NYS Assemblyman or City Councilman.

 As we continue to vote, our community will get more services and attention from the City and State services.

 Please remember to Vote June 28th for your Congress Person.

Note - the above is for registered Democrats
