– Dominic Gaskin, Minister of Business and Investment (AFC)

– Sydney Allicock, Minister of Indigenous People’s Affairs (APNU, specifically GAP)

– Rupert Roopnaraine, Minister of Education (APNU, specifically WPA) (youth, sport and culture included)

– George Norton, Minister of Public Health (APNU, specifically PNCR)

– Ronald Bulkan, Minister of Communities (APNU, specifically PNCR) (water, housing, local government portfolios included)

– Amna Ally, Minister of Social Cohesion (APNU, specifically PNCR)

– Valarie Garrido-Lowe, Minister within the Ministry of Indigenous People’s Affairs (AFC)

– Jaipaul Sharma, Minister within the Ministry of Finance (APNU, specifically JFAP)

There was one more - Amerindian, some Hastings.

junior ministers will not be in the cabinet, nor will those ministers which are part of the Presidency.

So the cabinet is 15, led by Nagamootoo.  6 AFC and APNU.

We will see how the various factions work together, both WITHIN each party, and between the two coalition partners.

And you forgetting Raphael Trotman, who is Chinese.

There is the usual confusion between who is mixed and who is "African".  This is why I put African and mixed people together.  I suspect this removes Gaskin and maybe Norton from your list.  Or you will have to add Holder, who definitely fits into what most Guyanese will call "red".

 Given that the voting patterns of mixed (most of whom are part African) and blacks differ little, help out the folks by just listing the Indians and Amerindians.  Maybe Norton is sufficiently Amerindian in ancestry to qualify.  I don't know.

Though this is not related to the main idea of the thread, I need some clarification. I have seen many statements here about similarity of voting patters between people of mixed ethnicity and a particular ethnic group. Where is this validated. I have many relatives who are mixed and they support different parties.

This thing about Junior Ministers not being part of Cabinet is the greatest stupidity I have ever heard.  What's the logic of that except to say "we have a small cabinet" when you are criticized for having more ministers than the PPP?

FACT: There are now more ministers than under the PPP. Why do we need 2 or 3 ministers to run a ministry that had 1 before?

We need to keep the Coalition on its toes, not give them a free ride to do more stupidness like before.

African is 30% and yet the PNC consistently won 40%.  Where does the difference come from.  Not Indian or Amerindian, and not all blacks vote PNC.
