At this point, not one thing the girl said was incorrect. And she did not say we pay for education in primary and secondary school. That is your own conclusion. She said she believed it should be free and covered education to the cost of books, travel etc. Her focus were on the cost of these incidentals.

What she is wrong about is that she is not Guyanese because she was not born there. She is Guyanese, can get a passport by going to the embassy and can vote by going home and registering and establish residency acording to the rules. Further, she grew up there and is culturally located in that society hence her interest in the most fundamental of civic duties.

She spoke to the cost of getting an education, ie books, travel and she most definitely mist the most troubling aspect "extra lessons" which rose to s second layer of the cost of educations so much the government had to intervene.

I dare you to itemize her errors, inconsistencies of facts and areas of nativity. Those are easy labels but you cannot substantiate any of it. She made one error that she is not Guyanese. She is as Guyanese as you and me and can go and get a passport to prove it.

True, she was not too acidic in her statements but many Indian find it repulsive that to this day, Afros tend to forget the reign of terror pre-1992 and even up to Lusignan/Bartica. Her references to "Indian" as the opressor is misplaced. To this day, not a single PNCite even acknowledge the wrong of the PNC but now chants of the wrongs of the "Indian" PPP.

This last election have clearly illustrated, Ethnic security is paramont and Afros see it in the institution of the APNU/PNC while Indians see it in the form of the PPP. Regardless what they do, voters come back to this as their guiding principle. The AFC worked the ground for a new paradigm, but with very limited/mixed results. The Indo leadership (Ramjattan and Nagamootoo) pulled Indo youths but many shuddered on Nov 29th when it seemed APNU may slip by. I can tell you, almost everyone believes if the APNU get's in, forget about free and fair elections for generations. This is the reality.
