Sudden elevation has affected Granger’s thinkingPDFPrintE-mail

THE available evidence has indicated that the sudden elevation of opposition leader has obviously affected David Granger’s thinking. His remarks last Friday, as reported by the Stabroek News, in an inaugural lecture of the National Assembly’s Governance and Democracy Lecture Series is cause for this observation. The prostitution of his intelligence came out clearly and must have angered sane minds, including all those professional historians who have recorded faithfully  the movement towards our valiant march towards independence.
This intervention calls for unbiased recording of our political history. Certainly, the trash that Granger proposed in his lecture cannot be left as truth. The nonsense that “Independence cannot be attributed to a single person or a single party” is purely “all poppycock!”
He delved into genuine areas but relied on the prostitution of his intelligence to try to bamboozle the rest of the country.
I am prepared to accept the views from the professional historians and challenge them to prove to the world that Cheddi Jagan was not the single voice that initially called for independence of our British Guiana. The father and mother of our beloved Guyana are Janet and Cheddi Jagan, despite the hogwash being spouted by David Granger.

Factions of the  Guyanese Populace were amazed and condemned the attack on Dr. Jagan's Legacy and great contribution he has made to Guyana has been met with silence from AFC members Moses Nagamootoo and Khemraj Ramjattan who spent most of their political life in the party founded by Dr Jagan before switching to the AFC.

So what? We were stuck with Burnham because he cannot forcefully clarify his political philosophy knowing fully well the west will not stand for another Cuba. The road to evil is paved with good intention. It was just not enough for him to have good intentions.
