Americans moving to Canada in record numbers: report

By | Canada Politics – Thu, 12 Jul, 2012

Canadian border guards are silhouetted at the Douglas border crossing on the Canada-USA border in Surrey, B.C.In what seems to be a reversal of fortunes from the 1990s, more and more Americans are looking to Canada as the 'land of opportunity.'

According to a new report by CTV News, economic woes in the U.S. are driving a record number of Americans across the northern border as they seek better job opportunities and cheaper education in Canada.

In 2011, Ottawa approved 34,185 visas for U.S. residents — a figure that falls just short of the all-time record of 35,060 approved visas in 2010.

You're a clown. The population of the US is close to 320 million people. 30,000 leaving is very minute. People are clawing their way to get to America all over the world in very large numbers. How does this compare to the Guyanese who are fleeing the PPP paradise like rats from a sinking ship?

Many are also moving worldwide.

Is Obama responsible ?

I excuse your ignorance due to your inability to understand the basic concept of percentages.

 1. Did you check to see how many Canadians are migrating to the USA. 113k in 2000, dropping to 73k in 2006. The USA has 10X the population, but fewer migrate to Canada than Canadians migrating to the USA.

Your point?

2 130,000 people left Guyana in the past 10 years. That is almost 20% of the population. For the same numbers to have been leaving the USA during the same period 60 MILLION would have had to have left.

Carib you are liar.

From the same article:

Carib,

You are like a typical PNC liar.

My focus was on 2000-2006 when far more Canadians migrated to the USA.

Total migration from Canada to the USA over the past 10 years, and one will see far more Canadians migrating to the USA.

Any way if 35k Americans migrate to Canada out of a population of 320M and 20K Canadians migarte to the USA 35M even YOU can figure out that the RATE of migration of Canadians to the USA is way higher than of Americans to Canada.

Does he. Why dont you check Canadian migration to the USA between 2000 and 2006.

We are currently living on 2014. You can run but you cannot hide from facts.

Like your Burnham days PNC habits will never die, you rigged and frigged and now your try to distort facts.
