The new wax figure of the Dabangg actor, which will be a part of the museum's Bollywood Zone, was unveiled yesterday in New York.

Much to the disappointment of the media in New York, Salman himself could not make it to the event. The actor is busy promoting his upcoming movie Ek Tha Tiger back home.

The new wax statue of Salman Khan is an exact replica of his wax replica at Madame Tussaud's, London, which was revealed in 2008.

Madhuri Dixit and her million dollar smile recent;y joined the wax celebrities in Madame Tussaud's. She said, "I am thrilled to be here in Madame Tussauds unveiling a wax figure of myself. It's incredible just how detailed the figure is - they have captured my look beautifully! I feel very humbled to be included alongside other Bollywood stars and some of my personal heroes."

A statue inspired from Aishwarya's 2011 Cannes appearance where she wore a violet Ellie Saab gown was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in Blackpool, UK last year. This wax statue has been made for the first ever Bollywood traveling exhibition.

Hrithik Roshan became the fifth Bollywood star to have his wax statue unveiled at Madame Tussauds.

Hrithik who was accompanied by parents, Rakesh Roshan and Pinky, grandfather J Om Prakash, wife Sussanne and their two sons, dedicated the honour to his family

Amitabh Bachchan was the first Bollywood star to have his wax image unveiled at Madame Tussauds, London in 2000.

His daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan joined him at the museum in 2004 when her movie Bride and Prejudice was to be released.

In 2007 it was Shah Rukh Khan who got this honour at Madame Tussauds. According to reports soon after his replica was unveiled, a passionate female fan proposed his double with an engagement ring.

In 2008, Shah Rukh's wax model has also been displayed at the Grevin Museum in Paris.
