RHTY&SC Cricket Teams, NAMILCO to distribute 13 000 Say No/Say Yes exercise books

The continuing efforts of the eight cricket teams of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS, to promote it’s highly successfully Say No/Say Yes Message to youths in Berbice has received a major boost.
The National Milling Company of Guyana (NAMILCO) has joined hands with the teams to distribute 13,000 exercise books to 30 Secondary and Primary Schools across Region 6; the ceremony takes place today.
The books were printed locally by Kaieteur News Printery and features advice to youths on Say No to Drugs, Suicide, Alcohol and Crime and Yes to Education, Life, Sports and Religion. The Company would also be promoting a healthy lifestyle using its products.
Club/Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster hailed the NAMILCO initiative as a massive investment in the educational sector and noted that the Say No/Say Yes Message would be communicated to thousands of Grade 6 Students in Primary Schools and Form One Secondary Schools Students across the Ancient County.
Among the Schools that would benefit are Lower Corentyne Secondary, Port Mourant Secondary, Tagore Memorial, Black Bush Secondary, Canje Secondary, New Amsterdam Secondary, Rose Hall Primary, Port Mourant Primary, Cropper Primary and Belvedere Primary.
Ms. Guyana World 2017 Ms Vena Mookram would represent NAMILCO at the event and share out the exercise books, while she would also meet with residents of Rose Hall Town at the Arch Square from 10:00 to 12:00hrs.
Distribution of exercise books would also be made to the General Public. NAMILCO would be one of Ms. Mookram’s major sponsors at the upcoming Ms. World contest. Foster expressed gratitude to CEO of NAMILCO Mr. Bert Sukhai, Finance Director Mr. Fitzroy McLeod and Mr. Afeeze Khan for their support of the project which the club hopes to make an annual initiative.
The eight teams of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club are Farfan & Mendes Under-15, Bakewell Under-17 and Second Division, Pepsi Under-19 and Intermediate, Metro Females, Gizmos & Gadgets Under-21 and First Division Teams.
