D2, I wish I could but where will I go riding, Liberty Ave? Those young people driving like they in Donkey Carts.

There are lots of trails, really good ones close by where you can bike on weekends or evenings in the summer. Forest Park trail has a 3 mile loop and it is good training if you can do it twice once a week and wait for the really funky rides on the weekends. Too many trails for single track mountainbikers close to RH. You can select from the easy to extreme at will. You however need to hook up with a group. You like girls so go on meet up and join one of those that has lots of chicks that is close by. Biker girls are hot...and straight up hard bodies

Wow, thank you Bhai and this is great since I can improve my health and get laid at the same time.;)

Seriously, on any day you will get someone to ride with. On weekends you will get a whole posse. I do not doubt you will get laid all the time if that is your aim because there are lots of folks out there available for that. However, I am about riding my bike.

Seriously, I thank you for the Info. I am going to seriously look into it.

Mountain biking is serious so you have to approach with caution. It also needs some investment up front.  You will need a good full suspension bike and other gear; clothing,  shoes  helmet, hydration pack, repair kit etc.  It would also be good if you have someone to teach you some safety tips and biking essentials. However, the rewards for you besides good health and a hard body  will be  a connection to nature as you have never seen it ...and of course lots of hot girls and something to do on a regular basis.

I got into some serious cycling on Sat which had me quite pumped. With speeds of 40 + mph around the velodrome crowds cheering you on, you just can't ask for better. Checking out the female cyclists (and males for some) is a must.

I was at it for about two hours straight when I decided to change the sports channel.

After this week the weather should be hot here. I have to get back on my bike after the winter. The last time I was out riding was just around my birthday in November and then I just got busy with everything else. I have about 10 pounds that I'd love to shed. The treadmill shall be my friend for the next few weeks and then into the pool to cool off. I'll never be a middleweight like some of you guys but I have to strive to be around the heavyweight limit.

i never stop. I ride all through the winter as long there is not too much snow. I was on the trail  earlier and it is muddy as hell so wore a full face helmet and googles.  I saw this fellow coming up the hill completely covered in mud and grinning from ear to ear. He had to be close to 80 but built like wound up wire ropes. I hope I can be riding at his age.

My 70+ professor/scientist/author boss rode home after getting dr.'s orders. He was from Beverly Hills and we were worried he'd be attacked by thieves.

Oye Nehru, Long Island has a lot of bike trails. I did a 26 mile one a few years back. I was in the best shape of my life when I used to bike around the lake at Flushing Meadow on the weekends.

He is talking about single tracking off road. Here are some guys practicing their beginners skills at the track I ride most often at since it is close to me.

There are five trails with different color values that provide difficulty information. Red is most difficult but because few people ride there the weeds grow and they cut u up. I dont ride it except in late fall.
