Mr. Bharat Jagdeo has called on Minister Ramjattan to resign,  following the prison riot in Georgetown. While I do give Mr. Jagdeo full marks for making such a bold statement,  I have another take on this one.  My recommendation is that the entire Granger Administration should resign from office and call fresh general elections.

From all accounts, the present gov't is just an abmissal failure.

So resign in the interest of Guyanese.

And here is baseman and Mars calling me a racist when I say exactly that.  I assume that Jagdeo hates Indians.

And in fact I stated that he shouldn't be in that position as Minister of Home Affairs especially when his first act was to attempt to destroy G/T nightlife when in actual fact many crimes are committed before midnight.

Where else he could be in the coalition is the coalition's business given that I don't think that even Mars would give them high marks for the competency of their appointments.

This is a KOOKOH BEH govt. The DAG is a protege of the Kabaka Burnham and Walter Rodney said it; anything the Kabaka touches turn to KaKa and so is it with DAG.

I very much doubt that Rodney cared the slightest of Granger before his death given that at the time Granger was a nonentity. Hammie Green and the House of Israel would have been more his concern.

What would Jagdeo have done differently to prevent last Sunday's tragedy?

What would you suggest that Minister Ramjattan could have done to prevent the prisoners from setting the fire?

You say that Ramjattan is cockeyed.  You look at one incident. You must be blind.  The fact is:  crime in Guyana is down; Murder and other crimes are being solved more rapidly; Money laundering and drug trafficking is being suppressed.

I am open to agreeing or disagreeing with you if you can say what exactly you expected Ramjattan to do to prevent last Sunday's tragedy.
