Rain ruins play at three venues

Dec 20, 2017 Sports, https://www.kaieteurnewsonline...lay-at-three-venues/

Rain prevented any play in three of the four matches in Guyana Cricket Board/Cricket Guyana Inc Jaguars 50-Over league yesterday.

Despite the efforts of the ground staff at Everest where East Coast Demerara were set to take on East Bank Demerara, play was called off after lunch due to the soggy state of sections of the square.
Lower Corentyne were scheduled to play West Berbice at Albion and Georgetown were set to face Upper Corentyne at Port Mourant, but play was called off at both venues due to the soggy nature of the pitches and outfield.
The competition continues tomorrow with Lower Corentyne playing Essequibo at Young Warriors, Georgetown facing East Bank Demerara at GCC, East Coast matching skills with West Demerara at Everest and West Berbice taking on Upper Corentyne at Bush Lot.
