In the USA, the "RACE TOGETHER" campaign, sponsored by Starbucks, draws attention to issues of race in America.

The Coalition of APNU & AFC is our pacesetter in this regard.  The 2 parties worked together for 3 years in Parliament to make the PPP Kleptos accountable for the expenditures of billions. Now they have taken the extraordinary and bold step of combining and racing together against the PPP which has abandoned the principles of the Jagans, their founders.

While some may be apprehensive of this Coalition, history will absolve the Coalition as the people will win. Let's do all we can to make this national unity initiative successful.

Oh Lord. For like the one millionth time I keep coming across this fallacy about regional seats. Don't worry though, you're in good company since not even the Learned AG understands Guyana's allocation of parliamentary seats in our electoral system.

The existence of so-called regional seats do not alter the basic mandate of the electoral system that the parliamentary distribution MUST match the popular vote. So there is no way whatsoever that a party with 49% of the vote can get 50% or 51% of the seats.

For example if you win 1 regional seat with a total of 900 votes then that just means that the national top up distribution will be altered to make sure the other parties receive more seats so that you didn't get away with a 900 vote Seat in parliament while everyone else had to earn a 5200 vote Seat in Parliament.

The regional seats is just a trick of the eye. No more.

As a matter of fact, GECOM is mandated by law to increase the size of Parliament to greater than 65 so as to prevent a non-proportional parliament in case of these accidents of history.

Shut the hell up you ignorant has been. Parties should not speak for anyone. They should speak for everyone. You old dinosaurs are so fused to this dysfunctional race based voting you cannot separate your emotions from the reality it is our biggest problem.

Also, check the media, it is Indians doing most of the rapes and it is Indian kids and women who are the victims.

PPP in charge past 23 years.  Have they provided security for the Indian communities? Have they enacted diversity policies?

Statement like this is quite inappropriate to say in 2015: "Indians are solid behind the PPP and they don't want the return of the Burnham days when Black people can force their way with the help of the police and rape indian women."

Who are the police today? Indians? How can people become so imprisoned in their minds that they can't get rid of such a script?  That must be torturous.
