Legally, if one is not immediately extracted from the List post-election and declared an MP then one remains on the List for the life of the Parliament until a vacancy occurs from your party's delegation to Parliament and your party leader agrees for you to fill it.

 

So that means Jagdeo can be made MP anytime in the next 5 years. He just had to be on the List to maintain his options for maneuver.

His name is simple on the list of candidates.

 

There is no guarantee that he will be selected as a representative  of the political organisation.
