They are bound strongly together.

However Putin is president of a country while Trump will always be known simply as a candidate who contested an election.

Obama and Hillary has alienated Putin.  America cannot afford to lose Russia's cooperation.  Trump is not stupid.  Plus, keep your eyes on all those emails Russia has safely tucked away.

1. Were someone to hack the emails from the Republican Party system, surely there would be similar emails; perhaps worse.

2. The gist of the issue is that hacking into a personal email system is a crime, which must be pursued with charges.
