Former Tourism Minister bought Palm Court for $2m US.

President Jagdeo has a seaside mansion by the Atlantic Ocean.

Minister Irfan Ali has a mansion with swimming pool.

All three were ordinary people with no "significant" wealth  before becoming a Minister of the Government.

Not everyone who is with the PPP got rich bai. Look at Yugi and Councie.

I don't know how ministers in Guyana get compensated or even if they are allowed to have other ventures not a conflict of interest so I can't judge their current capital. However, if they are doing their jobs effectively why should I concern myself with their lengthy tenure just for the sake of it being a lengthy tenure?

Chief is one of the hardest working and honest businessman I know - and I know a lot of them.

Kzaaazzz, when you speak of a trait of an individual or group and there is no evidence of that trait in their history, you must have some inferential logic or intuitive (non-scientific or faith-like) dependency from characterizing that individual or group. Chief mentioned concrete and irrefutable evidence of individuals in the PPP government whose worth went from zero to 100 with no rhyme or reason. You countered by saying there is no improvement from the alternative.

What am I to conclude from your logic or intellect? That somehow Moses, Khemraj, Granger et al with no history in their private lives and practices or when in government have not been shown to have stolen or lived extravagant lives are somehow an alternative that will thief like the example Chief cited.

Kzaaazzzz make me think you are a smart thinking and unbiased individual, please!

What I have going for me here bai is that I am totally unapologetic for who I am. Nonetheless, I am not without sound judgment here. The PNC of old was a crooked and incompetent government. Now you may say that that is a trait of old. The fact that the first executive act of this new coalition is to create  1001 vice-presidents is proof enough that the current participants are no different from the ones of old.

As anachronistic as all those Vice-Presidencies are and what a joke, does that make the leaders of the coalition not an improvement to the obvious examples cited by Chief?

Withoua doubt.

Today some 23 years after they demit office the PNC is now aligned with many new faces and the marriage with the decent APNU is reason enough to give them a chance against the PPP who are now making the old PNC look like school boys when it comes to squander and stealing.

Chief

You are dealing with new political dynamics of a possible Coalition taking over.

To get the Coalition going, which is a big gamble for both sides, you have to come up with some plausible political accommodations to make a start.

You can't equate a proposal that has not happened yet, with known corruption in the PPP/Kleptos.

So who are the "honest" ministers?

I don't believe in their professed reformation. Like I pointed out, their very first promised executive act is one that only the PNC of old can fathom.

There are no honest ministers anywhere bai. Even the US president is believed to be dishonest. Politicians do what they have to do to govern. They are not expected to be the Pope.

You are free to live in that make believe world bai. You are hoping for something but the tone of you language does not suggest that you have real confidence in them.

Are you saying that the Accountant general gave money to the PPP and not the PNC.

What happened to $250,000  that Jagdeo gave to the PNC to rear chinkens in Buxton?

Corbin got his share of retirement funds.

Since when was it Jagdeo's money to give away? Y'all carry on smartly, for now.Change is coming.

APNU has old PNC contents, as the saying goes, One bad apple spoils the whole barrel. The Palm Tree is still alive.

You have no idea of who Yuji really is.

I am successful as a result of my hard work and dedication. I have zero interest in seeking favours from politicians.
