Presidential advisor on governance, Gail Teixeira has shunned the belief that the People’s Progressive Party only represents Indo-Guyanese.

While admitting that the race factor still has an impact on voters, she noted that the population is more educated now to make better choices.

She noted that Guyana’s population is largely impacted by it post colonial history, however the young population is more independent in their views.

Nonetheless, she added that race alone cannot determine the government of the day as there is not sufficient persons in one ethnic group to put a political party in power.

She noted that the Indo-Guyanese population is about forty three percent while the Afro-Guyanese is bout thirty percent and the Amerindian population is now ten percent.

In this regard, she urged that persons vote based on merit.

The People’s Progressive Party has also called on persons to reject persons who seek to encourage racism during this period leading up regional and general elections.

She knows full well that she is a liar and that the PPP will get very few African votes.  After slapping up an Amerindian, and having the GDF beat up Amerindian women, they mightn't get too many of their votes either.

At last, Gail Teixeira is facing political mortality with a sense of realism.

Reading what she said above, and what she said a few days ago, gives me the impression that she realizes the Good Life is at an end.
