Brigadier David Granger,

Presidential Candidate of the APNU+AFC coalition and Leader of the People's National Congress, continued his visits to communities in t...he Upper Mazaruni, visiting Jawalla where he met with residents of that community as well as residents of Kako, Phillipai, and Quebanang.

'Heading to breakfast in Kamarang.

He was part of a team that included his wife, Mrs. Sandra Granger, and Dr. George Norton.

Brig. Granger focused his message on education, beginning the meeting by presenting tablet computers to Jawalla’s Toshao, Lita John, and Kako Primary School Headmistress Stephanie Krammer, repeating his pledge that a David Granger presidency would engage the teachers' union to ensure that teachers are the best paid public servants in Guyana.

'The Kamarang River.'

Holding up his cell phone for emphasis, Brig. Granger told those in attendance that there are 600,000 mobile handsets in Guyana, but even with this seemingly high penetration of mobile devices, there are extensive areas around the country where people are not served by a cellular network, and have no access to the Internet. This was not just a mere inconvenience, but a major hurdle to education from the primary to tertiary level. Brig. Granger pledged that an APNU+AFC government would work to see that every school has an equipped and functioning computer lab, and that information technology infrastructure was such that the University of Guyana could allow students to complete degree programs from far-flung areas via distance education programs.

Later that day, Brig. Granger travelled to Imbaimadai. There, he also shared his vision for education, saying that the education system was not just about building and furnishing primary and secondary schools but “... a whole new way of managing the economy of this region

After working for over 30 years in Region 1, 7, 8 & 9 visiting every community and experience the high levels of poverty, I am extremely pleased to see a APNU+AFC Presidential Candidate with his wife visiting these communities connecting with the people and understanding the daily challenges/hardships of the people.

That is why we must vote for Brigadier David Granger for President.

How many of our leaders and administrators every visit these communities.

You can see that Mr. Granger is in it for the long haul.
He always wears comfortable shoes on his walks about the country.
Shows that he is prepared.
