A reliable source at Congress Place, headquarters of the David Granger led People’s Nation Congress (PNC) has informed us that they party has mobilized some of its supporters in an effort to launch a counter protest against Amerindians protesting opposition cuts to the Amerindian Development Fund. The PNC’s history is rife with instances of organized protests which become violent. The party and its supporters have also been noted for using intimidatory tactics in an effort to scare detractors.

There is a concern that this planned counter-protest is an effort to intimidate the Amerindians who have been protesting peacefully for several days now. A similar protest last week by workers of the sugar industry successfully caused the PNC led APNU and its AFC opposition counterpart to backtrack on threats to cut from the national budget $6B allocated to aid the sugar industry. The source said that the PNC fears it may be losing ground in the area of street protests and this act is aimed as dissuading all other groups facing budget cuts that might be inclined to take a similar route to that of the sugar workers and Amerindians.

You are running away from my questions.

Where the money from mining royalties that are due to the Amerindian people went?

Where the 20% of these royalties that was suppose to go to the Amerindian villages every year since 2006 went?

The PPP's idea of "helping" Amerindians is to give 2.000 of them a stipend, and other forms of patronage.  90% of the fund is NOT aimed at sustainable development.

Its a cheap plan to BUY votes.  The vast majority of Amerindians who will not benefit from this fund, or who do not wish to depend on PPP welfare will reject this.

To the PPP, Amerindiands Re convenient pawns. They are quick to go to court with respect to their authority but refuses to address the case regarding a miner squatting on Amerindian lands. When their police brutally flogged a native woman, not a squeak was heard from them as to the brutality  meted out to her. Even on viewing the disgusting facts on video th e termed it alleged beating and released the same scoundrel cop into the region to intimidate native peoples on their own land. Remember this was the area wher3e they w3ere already on record for mususing their authority.

Making our people dependent on a corrupt party is not development. Keeping some 2000 on them on the dole is not to their interest. It is buying votes plain and simple. As a musician, I also want to know what the  hell they are buying in terms of instrument for the monies allocated. Again, Amerindians need independence from ministry to chiefs and community elders. The PPP keep them as convenient pets while they rob them left and right.

So they try the same "bad black man" race card.  The thing is that while many blacks have ill treated Amerindians, and continue to do so,  increasingly involvement of Indians in the interior has also exposed Amerindians to bad treatment from that group as well.

COASTLANDERS in the eyes of most interior people, aren't to be trusted.  So whipping up the race card can and will backfire against the PPP.

Why doesnt the PPP refute what the AFC has said,  and that is that the Amerindian Fund is a PPP slush fund to buy votes, not aimed ato sustainable development, and that only a few Amerindians have benefitted?  Clearly the PPP can't so wants to raise the "bad blackman" bogeyman.

Then when they get lashed in the polls by Afro identified people, they scream "dem blackman ungrateful!!".

The question is only manufactured because you do not care to acknowledge that if the people were ever able to get their royalties they would not need top be at the end of a government tether.  You crooks cannot account for the money. Sam Hinds is supposed to be custodians but I bet it is on some off book accounts that helps places like espadrilles rise from the dust.

You scream about what the PPP is doing or Amerindians.  Evidence has been provided that very little of what is allocated to them actually benefits them, and is merely an exercise of patronage and corruption.

You are the one attempting to derail by not refuting these allegations with FACTs, but instead peddling your usual racist image of the black bogeyman.
