FOR the past two days, workers of the Solid Waste Management Department of the Mayor and City Council (M&CC), carried out a tree painting exercise on Main Street and Brickdam, in an effort to usher in Independence celebrations.

Solid Waste Management Director, Walter Narine, sharing in the exercise

Both days, workers assembled at City Hall for 9:00hrs to carry out the exercise that was led by Solid Waste Director, Walter Narine.

The teams not only painted tree trunks, but weeded and cleaned the public benches in the area. The lantern poles were also painted.

Narine told Guyana Chronicle that in the past, any major activity in the country was marked by an event of this nature.

β€œWe’re trying to revitalise that. An event like this gives you a sense of pride and belonging.”

Mayor Patricia Chase-Green and her deputy, Lionel Jaikarran, along with some city councillors also participated in the activity

Instead of the jackass grab a cutlass and weed the grass, they painting tree and lantern post. These fookers really stupid.

Why did the PPP never cut the grass then?

Lord have mercy, the job to cut the grass is MCC not PPP.  Are you saying that grass grow prior to May 2015? It would be tall as a house.  These jackasses needs a grass knife instead of a paint brush.

Day in and Day out these PNC jackasses are becoming Dumber and Dumber. I am sure that if Granger was not abroad, he would have been under that tree braying like a Jackass as those fools paint it.

How much Dumber can these Clowns get ?

SMH

UG excellent observaton, in fact if jackass Granger was under that tree, he could eat the grass, with the additional benefit of beautifying the city and saving taxpayers to pay for his meal.  Finally doing something useful for Guyana, an all around win win situation.

If that were the case, you and UG would be what's left after Granger ate then dumped you both out the rear end. He would look down and say"ahhhh that was a good dump, I'll christen one UG the other, Druggie."

Why are you so eager to defend our beloved jackass Granger?  Do you have some ties to the man? Do you think if we put a rope around his neck and put him to graze grass in the national park, he would become a tourist attraction and bring in valuable foreign exchange?

Georgetown was tidied up when the government took office in 2015. So the grass was cut then.
Now, the only grass that can grow as tall as a house is ganja. Like you have some trees?

I welcome the idea of painting tree trunks for a celebratory occasion and beautification of the garden city. Paint doesn't harm trees, but protects them.

It seems that stench of pnc slop can is having second hand smoke effect on cobra.

Bhai, these are the small things that the coalition govt can do and take credit for. If I see no harm done, why should I condemn it? Don't sweat the small stuff.

Bai T that is Cain's domain, this weed business.  One time tidy up ain't wukking. They need a permanent solution in place.

Whether we like it or not, the soil in GT is very  fertile. But we can't go using  weed killers or pave over the city. In London they got teams of grass cutters with their lawnmowers of various sizes to go over the grass every few weeks.

Defacing nature with paint is not a credit to anyone.  Nature should remain as god made it, not to be defaced by pnc jackasses.

There exists a  great opportunity for jackass Granger to have an army of weed cutters put to work to beautify the nation. Instead he got them in Socu, gdf, police etc, being useless.  In Canada they have maintenance program, ever few days the parks and maintenance make the rounds taking care of the landscape. Nuff opportunity to put them agricola thiefman to work.

If Drug had done this during Forbes' time, Forbes would have organized Drug's mysterious death. Thank God for the changing times.

The slop can did the same for years with the PPP cabinet via piktcha lakka piktcha experts, jalil and mitwah. I hope you are not making veiled threats on behalf of the PNC.
