dats it...ah have to move into D2 hood...what's house prices around there?

It is still astonishingly cheap, $450K and up. The high end is in a few millions and these are huge mansions.

Given how close to nature it is and yet accessible to all the major highways, it is a bargain. We are also within a mile of 6 massive malls. It is multi ethnic so you can find anything from a kabab house to a high end French restaurant. Amazingly we have at least 3 to 4 percent Chinese but no Chinese restaurants except PF Changs!

Last thing I need is a mansion...where exactly is this...you can give me the general area

In a couple years, I might be looking....

I live in northern Bethesda. If you go up further from me away from DC it gets cheaper and it is even more better outdoors. In my area everything will be gone in a few years.   Tax is high and can only get higher as they try to conserve nature and provide us with better living experience.  I am up there in years and in a few I will not be able to take advantage of all of this so I am heading for Spain. 

Cheaper is good...last thing I want to do now is be house rich...why Spain?

The rain in Spain fall mainly on the plain, the mountains are good for cycling.

Why would I be dreaming? Because you say so? We already have a place some  9 years now and where a daughter resides. She just bought the place next door because it was the one we wanted in the first place and could not afford at the time given the price. Everything is dirt cheap there now if you can get permission to buy.

 Because I like it, I know it and my wife is not averse to it since we already have a few friends there. I also have lots of family. It was my sisters idea because she had a home there some 25 years  so why not?   Further, we will always keep a place here in Philly.

They are crazy about mountain biking there. Here is a a mountain biker that can persuade you to the sport

* By the way, the Spanish economy is in shambles. That explains why places are dirt cheap. There was massive over-building a few years back. Lots of developers went bankrupt.
