Original Post

I took my mom, dad and auntie to the funeral....all 3 of them knew this uncle.  It was nice to see Aunty Tokrie.  sometimes when i go there, i drop off my parents and go walk or  go shop( because i have no patience for long 3 hours sitting and listening to ....) but today i am pleased that i did go in.

This was the 'nicest' funeral i ever went to at a hindu service.  12-1:30!!!!!!  Beautiful bhajans with appropriate meanings explained (few made tears come in memory of those who are gone). Prayers done while bhajans sung, speeches were few and short.  Some folks viewed during prayers and at the beginning....

Both my parents loved the service and the way everything was done amd now request that there be no viewing days (dad wants no Pandit prayers nor speeches)

I must add that i  have a very vague memory of a very philosophical speech this uncle gave at my Mausa Bhula funeral on New yr's day 2010.

My sincerest sympathy to all those who loved this uncle...esp. little Raphael who miss his nana so much
