Opposition hungry in its lust for powerPDFPrintE-mail

DR. ROGER Luncheon stated: “Change, we assert, can best be brought about through studied, principled and more conventional approaches.”
“This habit of tearing down without even considering how to erect, we have to move beyond that,” he insisted.

I will say this, on behalf of Cabinet, that, if these attacks on NICIL are aimed at providing the basis for change, for dragging us, for forcing us into change, I can assure you that they are destined for failure,” Luncheon posited.
Mr. Editor, please be advised that what is going on in Guyana's politics today by a combined opposition is not designed for government to make changes or dragging government in or forcing it into changes.

When a leader of a political party who is also a sitting Member of Parliament in opposition to the government of the day says to anyone including other politicians: "I want to interrogate you" and not debate you on TV then most people know exactly what this politician is saying and should be taken very seriously.
When a leader of an opposition says to you: "seek legal advice and secure yourself a lawyer and stop talking since this is not about corruption any longer but fraud”, then you better take his/her words very seriously.

Mr. Khemraj Ramjattan, leader of AFC and sitting Member of Parliament said this has gone from corruption to fraud where Mr. Ramjattan advised Mr. Winston Brassington to seek legal advice through a lawyer.

What is Mr.Ramjattan really saying to Mr. Brassington?
Is Mr. Ramjattan not saying to Mr. Brassington that he Ramjattan has proof that Brassington committed fraud and he Ramjattan will fully prosecute Brassington for fraud, therefore, jail?
As I have said these are not easy times in Guyana's politics. These days most citizens of Guyana know the opposition are out for blood to make their case against not only government corruption but government fraud.

See Stabroek News blog site where most anti-government bloggers are calling for full prosecution and jail time for almost every sitting member of the PPP/C and including jail time for former President Jagdeo.

Glenn Lall and Adam Harris of Kaieteur News are not the only guilty parties of these daily wanton attacks on government ministers, but Stabroek News plays its part in it too, in that they allow certain bloggers to advocate on its website.
Be advised that opposition members including anti-government private media will not hesitate; I repeat ‘will not hesitate’, in bringing charges and try to jail any member of this sitting PPP/C government.

This is how much the anti-PPP/C critics are hungry in their lust for power.
There must be a heavy price to pay for lies by opposition members and a heavy price to pay for private media which spout these opposition members’ lies to the public.
As I have warned before that it was lies and rumours that caused almost one million innocent people to be killed in Rwanda.

Guyana is no different from Rwanda where, in Guyana, some misguided people take words of their politicians very seriously and will not hesitate to act.
Also, as I have said before, Mr. Chris Ram is the most dangerous person who is playing a most dangerous game with the lives of the innocent citizens and he should be stopped at all cost.
What Mr. Chris Ram is doing is using his surrogates such as Mr. Ramjattan and Mr. Moses Nagamootoo to spread his guesses and lies about the PPP/C government who in turn spread their lies to the media such as, KN and SN and the Mark Benschops who in turn spread these lies to the public.

Again, I warn that should PPP/C government fail to take serious action against these players then I am afraid the opposition will not stop until their objectives are achieved and that is to find a way to jail some members of the ruling PPP/C government and call it fraud.

Mr. Ramjattan better get solid proof of fraud if not he can be sued for libel. He has gone from corruption to fraud and sill, he couldn't face the challenges when he was called to confront the people who he made these allegations against. Shame on you, Ramjattan!

Silly man, sue Ramjattan so he can legally force all those suckers to explain themselves under oath as to what they did. Thoe bastards will not sue because they are sure they will be asked and they will have to answer.

We need an accounting. We believe the NICIL is a front company to launder state properties to the benefit of PPP cronies. We may be wrong but the secrecy, the way assets are being leeched off, glaring insider trading and the sudden emergence of an entrepreneurial class who "bought" state assets from NICIL that is still supposedly cash poor is surprising.

Shame on those who believe they can get away with zero transparency to the managing of our assets and who believe that asking for an accounting is an affront. I say let them put up or be put down.

When we get the final result on this uncertainty, we can debate it. For now let's wait and see. I hope for your sake this doesn't blow up in the AFC face. This is nothing more than a witch hunt. You don't have to take my word for it.

When it is ruled out as such then we accept it as such. Everyone is allowed to bray until the audit is concluded.

How can Dr. Ashni be a Director of NICIL and the Minister of Finance at the same time?

I don't know that but if she is what seem to be the problem. If the AFC had won the presidency, many of you and your spouses would have benefited. Is this another witch hunt or the fox can't get the grapes?

If AFC leaders, Moses and Khemraj, know so much about the NICIL issue why did they backed down on a debate in front of the nation?  The nation was disappointed when everyone showed up but the two Mouthars from the AFC. These guys were deathly afraid of debating the finance minister. Their charges are politically motivated and have nothing really to convince the audience that the gov't swindled 50 billion dollars.  All Lies!!  The AFC has added a new dimension to mudslinging

Again, I cannot confirm that. However, if Minister Ashni's position is in conflict of interest, the law of the land should be dealt with it. Minister Ashni is a reputable and respected member of government. What are you insinuating?

There is no insinuation. It is a direct statement of fact that the PPP administration is a family business. If they were "respectable" t hey would not let such appearance of a conflict of interest exist.
