Oh yeah baby. Love it.

Bana who exactly you think you fooling. Only one thing worse than a bigot and that's a bigoted hypocrite.

You have to be a CERTIFIED JACKASS, no other explanation for your STUPIDITY.

You really expect anyone here to believe you actually like an URDU rendition of a song???

GTAngler

Context: It's a song by a Sufi Saint called Bulleh Shah, of his spiritual journey and realizations therein, along with the poets emotions on the subject. Meaning: You can be anywhere and still connect to god, going to a Mosque and reciting a prayer is of no use if the same is not done from the heart, with complete faith, to establish a true connection. There is no use cleaning and beautifying your body from outside, if there is malice and deceit within. If the heart doesn't nurture the picture of The One and Only, but all others, no amount of prayers can ever reach him. For, it is no use committing a sin and then praying, because only deeds matter. We are all trapped within our worldly devices and hence have no time to even thank Him. A saint chants to connect to his god from within. They are the songs of his soul, as he is desperate to be one with Him. For this life is impermanent and there is no use just living for selfish needs. His love alone can enlighten our path, because that light is not restricted to the mosques and homes...but is omnipresent.

Not a bad version...I like Nusrat and these girls....Bollywood can't do the Sufi songs well

Bolywood cannot even come close to Nusrat and these Girls.

I honestly chant the name of Ali, Ali after chanting my rounds on my japa. Something about Mast Qalander that I really, really like. Ali, Ali.

Excellent rendition but honestly and I know I'll get some flak for this, voice lil masculine.

That's sheer sexy feelings oozing there banna. I would jam with her anyday, I'd even invite her sister.

Dah gurl in red would kill yuh. She is like Grace Jones, sexy in a masculine way. Pure domination. Probably she would beat yuh with just slaps. Yuh notice dem hands.

Thanks Riff. This was a most enjoyable performance, being enhanced with a couple glasses of wine, after a long day.

But credit is seldom given  to the video switcher for the different cameras and video editor. Without their skilful talents, it might just be a one camera show and I know how bla that could be.

His wedding song in the movie Dhadkan is a superb rendition and I keep playing it over and over. A UCLA professor told me Nusrat performed there and the crowd was hypnotized. Maybe he hypnotizes me. I'll post the song on Friday on Nehru's song thread.

Tell Skelly you stick still catch fire without a match.

In our town is a Senior's Centre.   Every week they have to fill the basket at the front desk, wid more condoms.  One week they run out of supply and almost start a riot.

Tola, is that you? Why you took the condoms on that specific week? Was it close to Christmas time? Please return them, they are not balloons.

If I had closed my eyes and listen to the above song, I would say its a man's voice. But that voice is suitable for Kawali/sufi song. She almost sound like another Kawalli/Sufi singer from Pakistan. When I first listen to the BG's, I thought they were an all female group. You put it together, its all talents in their own rights.
