This is my 4th attempt to start this thread

The video just won't show in the post. If someone can make it happen, please do.

Maysoon Zayid warns her listening audience back in December of 2013 that she is not inspirational. Watch the video when you get a chance and make that decision for yourself.

Excerpt from the transcript:

Now, I must warn you, I'm not inspirational, and I don't want anyone in this room to feel bad for me, because at some point in your life, you have dreamt of being disabled. Come on a journey with me. It's Christmas Eve, you're at the mall, you're driving around in circles looking for parking, and what do you see? Sixteen empty handicapped spaces. And you're like, "God, can't I just be a little disabled?" Also, I gotta tell you, I got 99 problems, and palsy is just one. If there was an Oppression Olympics, I would win the gold medal. I'm Palestinian, Muslim, I'm female, I'm disabled, and I live in New Jersey. If you don't feel better about yourself, maybe you should.

* When I saw the title, "My date with Ted" I was expecting something "juicy" from Mira.hahaha

* Anyway, 4 attempts at posting, huh ? You see that Mira ? If you persist, if you continue to try, if you don't quit, you will eventually succeeed.

* I enjoyed looking at Miss Zayid's video. I never once viewed her as having a handicap, instead I was enthralled by her positive attitude, her self deprecation and her sense of humor.

* Anyone who makes you laugh or smile will always be deemed to be a wonderful person.

* Despite her physical setbacks, Miss Zayid's heart remained full of hopes and dreams, she bet on her self, she worked hard, she persisted and she achieved success.

* Thanks for sharing the video Miraver.

Oh rant Rev, how come you didn't edit your spelling error? Just kidding!

About the title, I'll share tid bits on this thread as I spend time with TED.

Who the hell is Ted.

TED is the acronym for Technology, Entertainment, Design.

TED Talks are a collection of international conferences/talks produced by a non-profit organization called Sapling Foundation, based in North America.
