Are you simply stupid or it's just the daru talking on a Saturday night? The sugar industry has been in crisis for years under the PPP. Every year for the last few years, it has needed a massive cash infusion to stay afloat. The sugar industry was already dead on arrival when the PPP left a couple weeks ago.

Moses is being an idiot and he is playing politics. He should definitely find a way to fire Raj Singh and try to fix the industry rather than casting blame now.

He is right to blame the PPP for placing the new gov't in this difficult position, where they have to scrounge up money from all sources to prevent closure.

If by the end of the year he doesn't have a plan to either resuscitate Guysuco,, or sell it as Guymine was sold, then it becomes an APNU AFC problem.

The PPP cannot run away from the massive destruction that we are now learning about.  After all 30 years after Burnham died, they still blame Guyana's woes on him.  So why run away from the fact that they ran Guysuco into the ground?

There were suspicions of dire consequences for the industry given its need to always ask for money and declining output but the full scope of the problem was hidden in the PPP totalitarian regime. I do not have the time nor do I care to go and bring those speeches from Roopnarine, Moses, Ramjattan etc demanding an full accounting. You also ought to know that it was on that account they rejected the six billion subsidy. The PPP did not submit an accounting!

There was speculation that GUYSUCO may need another 7 billion this year. No one know it was running on fumes and owed a full third of the nations GDP. It is quite silly of you to say Moses should have known. He should have if the PPP did their duty to inform the Assembly of what and where the money allocated to their offices as management went.
