The final of the fourth annual Mohamed’s Enterprise/New Era Entertainment futsal competition at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) hard court lived up to the hype and saw the venue being packed with countless fans that braved the weather to support the event.

In the final, the officials had to halt the teams with the scored deadlocked at 10-all due to the heavy rainfall, coupled with encroachment of the huge crowd of fans on the playing surface. And, with the weather not letting up, the teams, NK Ballers and Hard Knocks decided to split the $500,000 first prize and $150,000 second prize amongst themselves with both teams walking away with half of the combined total.

Dexroy Adams had four goals to his name for Ballers when play was halted, while Kennard Simon had registered a hat-trick to lead his team’s (hard Knocks) scoring before the game was abandoned.

In the third place match which was contested between Silver Bullets and Spaniards, Bullets emerged the best out of the two teams and pocketed the $50,000 third place cash prize after winning 15-9. Jamine Samuels and Deshawn Freeman both scored five goals each for the winners, while Damion Williams and Clifton Alley both scored a brace each and Robin Adams solitary strike took Bullets final tally to 15.

For Spaniards, African brothers, Kenneth and Benjamin Opara netted four and three goals respectively but only got further assistance from national midfield Curtez Kellman who scored a brace in the six-goal defeat.
