Melania Trump didn’t hold Donald’s hand — for the second day in a row

For the second day in a row, First Lady Melania Trump didn’t hold her husband’s hand.

When coming off Air Force One in Rome on Tuesday U.S. President Donald Trump reached for her hand as they disembarked. But Melania moves her hand at the last moment, avoiding him and starting down the airplane stairs, in a moment that was captured by the waiting media.

It’s not clear she saw his hand but it’s the second time in recent days the pair haven’t succeeded in holding hands – in another moment caught on camera on Monday, Melania appeared to swat at Donald’s outstretched hand.

The couple had been walking toward dignitaries in Tel Aviv, where they met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Netanyahu was flanked by his wife, who was holding his hand.

But despite any misgivings – all four of them held hands shortly after, as shown by Netanyahu’s Twitter account.

Trump’s hand holding has made news before too. He and Democratic rival Hilary Clinton refused to shake hands at the end of their debates, and Canadians scrutinized Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s handshake with the president for days after Trudeau visited the White House in February.

He also was photographed holding hands with British Prime Minister Theresa May during her visit to Washington D.C. in March, of which she said he was being a “gentleman,” before commenting on the size of his hands in an interview with Vanity Fair.

Is Donald in the doghouse? Melania appears to reject hand ... again

Call it ‘swat-gate’ or whatever you’d like, but the Internet is abuzz after first lady Melania Trump has appeared to reject her husband’s hand for the second time in as many days.

On Monday, as President Donald Trump walked the red carpet following a speech from the tarmac at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, Israeli news organization Haaretz pointed out that Melania appeared to ‘swat’ away the president’s hand as he reached out towards hers.

The tweet of the so-called snub blew up with the caption, “Well this is embarrassing” and mockery and speculation began to run rampant on social media.

Before Internet commenters could even catch their breath Tuesday, as Donald and Melania Trump disembarked from Air Force One in Rome on their first official overseas trip, cameras once again caught Trump reaching out for his wife’s hand. This time the first lady appears to reach to adjust her hair leaving the president empty-handed.

Amidst all the hullabaloo and speculation that she’s unhappy, it should be noted that the couple have been seen holding each other’s hands several times during the trip, including in Saudi Arabia.

The “incidents” may just be chalked up to windy hair and protocol. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu joked before the speeches, "They have all this protocol, we never know what to do." Trump asked, "What is the protocol? Do you have any idea?" While Netanyahu laughed in reply, "Who knows!"

However, none of the possible innocent explanations appear to be able to stop the Internet mockery and (perhaps joking) suggestions that Melania Trump is miserable and looking at filing for divorce.

They sleep in the same bed.  Why do they need to hold hands in public? To prove what to who?  And furthermore, can someone explain to me why this is news.  People are getting slaughtered in Manchester and other places and you all are worrying if Trump is holding his wife's hand.

The president and his wife are closely watched for the simplest details. If they are not holding hands is a big deal, their sleeping arrangements has to be well guarded from the gossip media and GNI.

Tola, your usual long-winded nonsense is not a concern to me.

Yea, but you like to enhance  other people's marital  problems  on the internet, like women's gossip.

Maybe we should hear more of your personal challenges, then you might know how it feels.

Don't put yourself on a pedestal D_G, it destroyed many good men and you are no exception.
