The PPP has a right to remember its main founders Cheddi and Janet Jagan, just as the PNC has a right to remember its main founder Forbes Burnham.

Here's the problem: the PPP will kickstart its elections campaign at a Jagan commemmorative event but when APNU had announced it originally wanted to launch its elections campaign on Burnham's birthday, there were loud howls and scowls from PPPites.

Like how there are loud howls and scowls from non-PPPites now? See the irony Gilly. People can easily lose their senses over religion and politics.

Bai, it's human nature. Here's how it works:

MY side is the BEST.

YOUR side is SHITE.

For me, really, OUR side is GUYANA.

I believe you Gilly. The trouble is that most people who claim so don't really mean it. Politics is mostly for personal gains.

Bai, I try to let logic govern my thoughts. I am actually just sitting back here and enjoying the two sides go to battle for their respective saviors.

He left us no lasting legacy and history is more abundant with his mistakes and shortsightedness than in his success.

The PPP wants a jagan vs burnham fite. It is the only way than can win in their mind as the have no sound record. And even so the the chances are slim. They have a better chance of an appeal it they avoid all of that racial divisionism crap. They have to win 15 to 18 percent of the non Indian vote. Give them the Amerindian vote completely and they are only halfway there.

I don't have a problem with the policies of Dr. Jagan and his wife.  They meant well for poor people.  My problem with these two politicians was how the party was run when they controlled it.  There was always a fight going on with someone or the other.  They destroyed many good people and caused many people to leave the party.  Instead of seeking a new path forward of reconciliation and peace for the party this gang of eight and the Jaganite fraction of the AFC are seeking to use and exploit these dead politicians for votes.  One day in the future the PPP party will again get a leader from the Jagan family and I hope that person has the courage to seek a new course that learn from the mistakes of the past.

Why is it a great Leader can only come from a Jagan??? I am sure there are many Guyanese who are honest and can be moral and compassionate in Politics and at the same time NOT too concern with wealth and excessive material things.

Nehru Bhai

There are many decent and humble folks in the PPP, Rammo included.

Just a tiny fraction of greedy politicians gave the PPP a bad name. Word is that Rammo will flush then in the toilet after this election.

Take a look at his Prime Ministerial candidate and you will see that he is gearing up for a clean slate. Rammo will take us to the mountain top with a 54 Percent Majority.

Rammo will also clean house like Rambo. Sit back and watch some of dem greedy boys ending up with Katahar.

I hope so. If not now, when??  Are we going to wait until there is no turning back. The Guyanese People know the PPP is the BEST Party to lead Guyana BUT they will not sit idle for too long waiting for necessary changes.  AN OPEN, DEMOCRATIC AND TRANSPARENT SYSTEM OF GOVT, NOTHING LESS!!!

Listen up PPP this will be your last chance!!!   We are watching
