i was in the backyard digging weeds....

the parsley came back from last yr

very surprised to see kale and fine leaf thyme growing back from last yr...i have enough kale to pick and cook or make salad for my family

So folks, hows YOUR garden coming up?

This morning was 2C!!

It's mid-May and I almost wore my winter coat!!!

I just can't get in the gardening mode as yet.

the garden was cleaned up last fall.....so it's ready for when the weather is.

did notice though that there are lots of garlic growing.....and we didn't even plant any last fall!!!

they are from the previous year when we did plant but didn't get anything last year!! weird!!

anyway, I am cutting the green from them to put in my cowmein and fried rice.....like you would do with green onion.....and it's really good.

Some women don't care for the complications that come with rings bai.

Cain, u got it right...ring b4 u come!!!  i am used to the ring b4 granting permission to work on the front lawn (no kidding, i have more than ten rings that my hubby got me, including 4 diamond rings)...now if u want to trim the hedge or admire the flowers...texting will suffice

Cherry Tomatoes tend to do that.....seeds will germinate the next year.

I got all my planting done yesterday evening

small patch of garden.....and hubby bought twenty....yes twenty....tomato plants!! and no cherry tomato plants!!

had to plant some of them in my flower garden

if they all grow and produce.....I will have lots of tomatoes to give away.

That's a whole lotta tomatoes there for your whole town.  I have 2 peppers and 2 eggplant in pots and all done!

I am done with the planting in the garden....unlike my big Deed VB, i planted only about 12 tomato plants, some bigan, ochro, peppers, a doz kale , few zucchini, cukes, watermelon, bush beans, sweet peas, watermelon n butternut squash etc

i have not bought tomatoes for the last few yrs except during winter when i want few to roast n make choka

I have cut kale twice from the new ones and maybe 6 times from the old ones (they have lots of seeds now)

i threw some poi seeds in the bed with kale and lots of them are growing ...lots of chowrai too

i transplanted my blueberry tree, gooseberry bush and my strawberries

i see the plum tree not looking too healthy

i see cherries on both trees...and apples on the tree few friends and us planted on June 28 last yr

This proves how shameful I am being that I live in tropical South Florida. All I grow in my yard is grass.

I think this is it bai.

I do have a fertile garden, thanks to my beloved husband who brought in lots of manure 4 yrs ago...plus he fenced it in so the bunnies cannot get in.  i have not picked any other veg only seen them on the plants

i water them every night unless it rains

as i said b4, i was shocked to see the kale come back in April
